Season 2, Stage 9: Going ...Post-Worlds

The World Road Race Championships are now over .... but happily not for us!

Guy and I go post-worlds with our thoughts on an exciting men's road race and time trial. A new hero of the Brit kind was crowned after a grueling distance of 266km over Danish flat roads. The youth movement is back with twenty-five, I mean twenty-six year old Mark Cavendish taking over the mantle of world road race champion and capping off a tremendous season including winning the Tour's green point jersey.

No doubt his value has increased and we can't help but comment on the speculation of the Manx Missile joining forces with the new Specialized Quick Step team. Is Sky out?

The Canadian, 23 year old David Veilleux also fuels the fact the youth movement is here and alive by his superb 19th placing in his first world elite road race. Find out how the other Canadians performed.

Books and more grace this podcast as Guy reviews Slaying the Badger by Richard Moore and he also introduces the new, Racing Through the Dark by David Millar. We want to thank our friends at Paved Magazine for the new Fall issue including an excellent photographic article on the famous Roubaix Velodrome.

It's time for a special beer from the trusty fridge ....that has a special British flavor.

I proudly sport Galstudio's new cycling cap, the Classic Racer and Guy has on an old favorite ...the Orangeman. Complimenting two of our favorite jersey's from our friends at Road Holland.

Enjoy our Post-World ride!

Richard
