beats Denis Menchov!
Twenty-five year old, Rigoberto Uran was impressive on the final sprint today on stage 4. The strongest, I would say, punching past a large group of riders to win the stage into Asco. The day was bathe in sunshine a contrast to the apocalyptic conditions of yesterday.
This is the first huge win of the season for Uran and pay back for the way Bradley Wiggins helped him to third on stage 2.
What's more impressive is what I read on Klaus' excellent and revealing post (Cycling Inqusition) about the remarkable rise of Rigoberto Uran. The tragic death of his father, eleven years ago in Colombia placed the young Uran in a position most of us can't comprehend.
Without a doubt, I'm more astounded of the resilience, dedication and fortitude of the Colombian riders, such as Rigoberto Uran!
